"defeat your vader"
A Message from Piper...
Earlier this year, I started experiencing headaches, nausea and fatigue. I was admitted to the hospital several times before, finally, in mid-July, an MRI revealed that I have a mass on my frontal lobe. I've named it "Darth Vader" and I intend to fight it with The Force, medical interventions and the support of my family and friends.
I have a really good medical team at Abbott Northwestern in MPLS. We are also in consultation with, and will soon be visiting with, a neurology team at Mayo in Rochester, MN.
At current, on Aug. 5th 2026, I am scheduled to have surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible. A biopsy will then be performed, which will allow a more precise diagnosis and treatment plan.
